Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist

Dr. Ali Haeri graduated from the University of Kentucky with a master’s degree in chemical engineering in 1986. He was inspired by his father (who was a practicing dentist) to pursue dentistry as a profession. Dr. Haeri graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry in 1990. After practicing as a general dentist for two years in the state of Kentucky, he completed his residency training in periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1994.

Dr. Haeri gained extensive training in all phases of periodontal therapy, dental implantology, and sedation techniques. He then continued his career as an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Department of Periodontics, where he devoted his time to teaching and research.

Dr. Haeri has also published articles related to the field of periodontics in various journals. He has dedicated his time to clinical practice as a periodontist in San Diego, California, since 1999.

Outside the Office

Dr. Haeri is a proud father of two beautiful and talented children - a son and a daughter. Dr. Haeri utilizes San Diego’s perfect weather every chance he can with his family because he loves nature and the sun.

In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors locally by biking Pacific Beach and La Jolla, hiking Cowles Mountain, and camping at nearby sites around the county. His aquatic adventures take him to Hawaii or our nearest shorelines where he snorkels and kayaks with his family and friends. Also, Dr. Haeri enjoys traveling to exotic and new places around the world.
